About me
I’ve been trucking for over 30 years, running cargo through just about every corner of the country. Along the way, I got in the habit of keeping a notebook: jotting down thoughts, little details about the towns I passed through, where I found a good cup of coffee, or a place that just felt different somehow. Nothing polished, just memories from the road.
I never thought much of it, just writing down what stuck with me. A certain diner sign, the way a town square smelled after rain, an old dog sunning himself outside a gas station. I’ve always had a soft spot for the quiet stuff, the quirks in everyday places most folks might overlook.
Then my grandson found one of those old notebooks and said, “Grandpa, people would love this.” Next thing I know, he’s scanning pages, typing up the stories, and building this whole website. He made it his project—to not just share the stories, but to map them out. Every post pins a place, so you can follow the trail from town to town, like riding along with me all over again.
So here it is. A trucker’s eye view of America—the small places, the ordinary moments that left a mark. Thanks to my grandson, you can see how it all connects.
